Vaccination for Travellers and Seafarers in Germany
Professional arrangement of vaccinations before trips abroad
If you are planning a trip to tropical countries, to regions with an increased risk of infection, or if you work in maritime transport — we will help you with vaccination in Germany. We offer services for arranging vaccinations for travellers and seafarers in major cities: Berlin, Munich, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Cologne and others.
Which vaccinations are recommended before a trip?
When planning a trip, especially to endemic or enzootic regions, it is important to consult a doctor 4–8 weeks before departure. This gives you time to receive the necessary vaccinations and build up immunity.
The most common vaccines:
-
Yellow fever
-
Hepatitis A and B
-
Japanese encephalitis
-
Typhoid fever
-
Meningococcal disease
-
Tick-borne encephalitis
-
Rabies
-
Diphtheria, tetanus
-
Measles, mumps, rubella
-
Leptospirosis
-
Chickenpox, polio
-
Monkeypox (mpox)
-
Influenza
Vaccination at short notice (last minute) is possible — but bear in mind that many vaccines need time to take effect.
Vaccination requirements for different countries
-
Australia: yellow fever vaccination is required only after visiting Africa or South America.
-
Thailand: dengue fever outbreaks are possible — we recommend the corresponding vaccination.
-
Brazil: vaccination against hepatitis A/B, typhoid and rabies is advisable, along with up-to-date age-appropriate vaccinations.
-
Mexico, Taiwan: no additional vaccination requirements.
-
Dominican Republic: yellow fever vaccination is recommended.
-
Netherlands: it is important to be vaccinated against tick-borne encephalitis if you visit forest areas.
-
Switzerland: vaccinations are compulsory only if you have been in an epidemic area before arrival.
The WHO recommends keeping your basic vaccinations up to date regardless of destination: diphtheria, tetanus, measles, hepatitis B and others.
