Men's Health Check-Up in Germany


The programme provides a comprehensive assessment of men's health and detects serious health risks at an early stage. The examination is overseen by at least 2 medical specialists.

  • initial appointment with a general physician, medical history taking;
  • physical examination;
  • body mass index (BMI) measurement;
  • blood pressure and pulse measurement;
  • full blood count and urinalysis with microscopy;
  • ultrasound of the abdominal and pelvic organs (liver, stomach, gallbladder and bile ducts, spleen, pancreas);
  • ultrasound of the kidneys, adrenal glands and retroperitoneal space;
  • ultrasound of the thyroid gland and regional lymph nodes + colour Doppler imaging;
  • ultrasound of the brachiocephalic vessels (Doppler ultrasound of the neck vessels and carotid artery with measurement of vessel wall thickness, blood flow velocity and direction);
  • transthoracic echocardiography;
  • 12-lead ECG;
  • colour Doppler echocardiography (echo);
  • body plethysmography — measurement of total lung capacity;
  • final consultation and discussion of the examination results with the specialist; prescription of treatment and preventive measures;
  • a written diagnostic report from the general physician in German, with treatment and prevention recommendations for your treating doctor;
  • initial appointment with a urologist; medical history taking;
  • examination and palpation of the external genitalia;
  • ultrasound of the scrotum, vas deferens, seminal vesicles and external genitalia;
  • palpation of the prostate, testicles, epididymides, scrotum, penis and spermatic cords;
  • examination of the skin of the pubic area;
  • ultrasound of the pelvic vessels and organs;
  • ultrasound of the kidneys, adrenal glands and bladder;
  • transrectal ultrasound (TRUS — transrectal ultrasound examination of the prostate);
  • laboratory diagnostics (blood tests for tumour markers, PSA, sexually transmitted infections, male sex hormones; urine test for bacterial flora);
  • erectile dysfunction assessment (if symptoms are present);
  • final consultation and discussion of the examination results with the urologist;
  • prescription of treatment and preventive measures;
  • a written report from the urologist in German on the diagnostic results, with treatment and prevention recommendations.
