Professor Mathias Warm, breast specialist: the best breast specialists in Germany

Mathias Warm was born in 1962 in Leipzig. From 1986 to 1992 he studied medicine at the University of Greifswald, one of the finest medical schools in Germany. In 1992 Dr Warm received his licence to practise medicine (Approbation), after which he worked as a junior resident in the clinical department of gynaecology and obstetrics at the hospital in Stralsund (federal state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Germany). In 1998 Dr Warm was appointed senior consultant in Wolfsburg (federal state of Lower Saxony, Germany), where he began to specialise in senology (breast surgery).

In 2000 he was appointed senior consultant in the clinical department of gynaecology at the University Hospital Cologne (federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia); since September 2010 he has headed the Breast Centre at Cologne-Holweide Hospital. Prof. M. Warm is rightly regarded as one of the leading specialists in the treatment of breast cancer in Germany. He defended his doctoral thesis in 2009, receiving the title of Privatdozent and Doctor of Medicine. Dr Warm currently holds the position of professor.

Prof. Mathias Warm has built a first-class team of experts whose main aim is the competent and prompt diagnosis and treatment of all breast tumours, both benign and malignant, in women and men.

In addition, the clinic offers detailed consultations on reconstructive breast surgery as well as breast augmentation and breast reduction. The high level of professionalism of the team, state-of-the-art diagnostic and therapeutic technology and personal patient care make the services of the Breast Centre unique.

Where necessary, patients are offered psycho-oncological support, social and legal counselling and participation in a patient self-help group.
The Breast Centre Cologne-Holweide in Cologne holds all the necessary licences and certificates of the federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia and of the Medical Association of the Westphalia-Lippe district. The Breast Centre is part of the association of Rhenish Cancer Centres and works closely with doctors in private practice as well as with the specialised expert network centre Mamonova.
